Bill has served for over 20 years in the Army and Air Force as a Pararescueman, earning a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars for combat rescue missions. He has guided and taught wilderness medicine and mountain skills across the United States, the Alps, South America, and Alaska. His mountain experience is as broad as his rescue background, and the two inform each other in every environment.
